...Seattlites.

"I am anti-globalization," he says, chatting into his Nokia cell phone, listening to an International Public Radio broadcast in his Saab, sipping Starbucks House Blend coffee (a blend of beans from Latin America and Africa) from his personal commuter mug (made in Taiwan), on the way home to his IKEA-furnished apartment from his desk job at Microsoft.

"I HATE President Bush!" she yells during a rally for peace and love and tolerance.

"Might does not make right!" they shouted in opposition to US foreign policy. "The President should do exactly what we say because there are so many of us."

I don't claim to be the voice of reason. I'd just like to be able to hear it above all the misinformed rhetoric being shouted from every street corner in this city. I love it here, but I didn't come home because I thought I'd be returning to a hypocrite-free zone. That, it most certainly is NOT.

I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit R&B, I'm a little bit of everywhere I've lived, I'm a lot of Don't Mess With Me, Don't know if you'll understand, But I know it's clear to me, I'm a little bit hip-hop, But it's ALL about Liberty. (Thank you, Tracey Ullman and Donny & Marie).
