...Democracy.

Judge Learned Hand was right to fear too much faith put in the Constitution:

"I often wonder whether we do not rest our hopes upon constitutions, upon laws and upon courts. These are false hopes; believe me, these are false hopes. Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it..."

It's such a shame that on the day we celebrate life and new beginnings, I am feeling rather resigned to the fact that I live in a soon-to-be Socialist country. All these Bush-haters don't even realize that this is merely just rewards. They've granted more and more power to the Federal Government and the Executive Branch for decades and now they're blaming the problems of our nation on one man. Reap what you've sown. Reap what you've sown. We were never meant to be a Democracy. But, fine. I'm all for giving the people what they want. But don't try to take it from me and don't you dare come looking for me with your hemlock.

I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit R&B, I'm a little bit of everywhere I've lived, I'm a lot of Don't Mess With Me, Don't know if you'll understand, But I know it's clear to me, I'm a little bit hip-hop, But it's ALL about Liberty. (Thank you, Tracey Ullman and Donny & Marie).
