...Senator Santorum

First of all, let me just clarify one thing: "gaybashing" is not the issue here.

Dear Senator Santorum,

A man's home is his castle.

I'm sure you are familiar with this statement and, quite frankly, what it should mean to a US Senator, is STAY OUT. Whatever the behavior going on behind closed doors between two consenting adults, it's none of the State's business.

"If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything."

Why are you comparing this case to bigamy and polygamy? A bigamist or polygamist is taking liberties with state-approved marriages. A person who engages in sexual relations of any sort with anyone needs NO STATE APPROVAL. That is part of the reason that adultery is not a crime. Yes, if you prove that your spouse has committed adultery, you will win a civil suit in a divorce court, but you can't have your spouse locked up in jail. And you certainly can't have police storm your spouse's home.

I understand that you believe bigamy, polygamy, adultery and sodomy are immoral. However, I suggest that you allow your God take care of the people who commit these acts. I ask that you not encourage the State to intervene with such matters on private property.

I do not ask that you resign. I am truly sorry that you must endure the vicious attack from our fellow Americans who celebrate diversity (as long as it's not diversity of opinion).

Oh, and Senator Kerry, if the White House issued a response to every "divisive and hurtful comment" made on Capitol Hill, there would be nothing else going on at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I suggest that YOUR comments "take us backwards in America."

I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit R&B, I'm a little bit of everywhere I've lived, I'm a lot of Don't Mess With Me, Don't know if you'll understand, But I know it's clear to me, I'm a little bit hip-hop, But it's ALL about Liberty. (Thank you, Tracey Ullman and Donny & Marie).
